City of York Council Survey – URGENT

ENABLING SOCIAL ACTION SURVEY – PLEASE FIND TIME TO COMPLETE.

Dear People Helping People partner,

As you will know York CVS and City of York are partnering with the Universities of Hull and Sheffield and Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) through the city wide People Helping People strategy on the Enabling Social Action programme. From our workshop with you in July 2018 you asked us if we could help develop a story of volunteering city wide in York by bringing together the data that you currently collect on volunteering. This survey draws from this initial discussion to capture the existing picture of volunteering in York and aims to facilitate the development of baseline city-wide data collection on volunteering.

We kindly ask for your help in completing a short survey to help us understand the data currently gathered on volunteering in York. This is an opportunity to engage in some new research on volunteering, the results of the survey will be shared with you. We realise that you may run several volunteering projects so we ask if you would complete a separate survey for each project.

Please complete the survey link here: https://goo.gl/forms/xuUikjsj0eCF3Noh2

The findings from this survey and this broader stage of research on volunteering data will be shared with all partners and we anticipate that this data will be useful for the work of your organisation and for the People Helping People Partnership more broadly by helping to develop an evidence base. Your help is important in gathering this data. There are 12 short questions in the survey which should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete. We are asking all partners across York to take part and complete the survey by 21 December 2018. We understand how busy you are and if there are any issues with completing this on time please do get in touch with Jenny McNeill on behalf of the ESA team: j.m.mcneill@sheffield.ac.uk

Thank you. Your assistance in completing the survey is greatly appreciated!
