Week of 24/7 Prayer

From Monday 6th to Sunday 12th June during the week up to Pentecost, we will have a 24/7 prayer tent in York minster and would encourage you to use that wonderful facility.  Plan to spend time there – on your own or in a group.  You cannot be guaranteed to have it to yourself, but if you would like quiet personal space, the Zouche Chapel is just next door to where the tent will be, and is an oasis of peace, soaked in centuries of prayer.

Cath Walters waltersquad@gmail.com Mob: 07873147517 will be contacting churches in the hope that churches will offer to take a block of time, but please feel free to contact her yourself to book a slot.  There will also be an on-line diary set up to make things easier for those who are happy to use a computer.

Let us aim to saturate our city with 24/7 prayer building up to Pentecost, when we joyously celebrate together the birthday of the church and its empowering for service by the sending of the Holy Spirit.
