Last Easter, One Voice made history by holding the first ever Joint Baptism service with the Archbishop of York and leaders of other churches.
The event appeared on the evening news all over the world and featured in the nation’s press.
Caring passionately for the unity that this event demonstrates, we are holding it again this Sunday (23rd) as part of our Easter celebrations.
As Britain braces itself for predicted wintery weather, we have made the decision to move what was to be an open-air the event to St Michael-le-Belfrey (next to the Minster).
Candidates from many York churches are being baptised and you are invited to join the celebration with us at 3pm.
The York City Gospel Choir will be performing and Archbishop Sentamu will be talking as part of this lively unique event.
We expect the world’s media to be looking to York again this Easter on this most special day. Whatever the weather we encourage you to be part of this special time as Christians all over the city join in a tremendous demonstration of life and growth amongst the church.
